Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others? The Sipsey Valley Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to provide life-saving fire and emergency medical services in the department's service area. We are looking for volunteers who are dedicated to serving our community both in a firefighting and non-firefighting roles.

Volunteer Firefighter
​
As a Sipsey Valley Volunteer Firefighter, you are on the front lines of helping our community. Responding to vehicle collisions, medical emergencies, and fires, you are the face of the fire department, who the public sees when they call for help.
Requirements: 18 years of age, be in good health, physically capable of carrying out firefighter functions. Day or night response availability is desired.
Auxiliary Support Member
Auxiliary support members are the backbone of the fire department. Maintaining vehicles, fire station improvements, filing of paperwork, maintaining fire equipment, there are many tasks that must be completed to make a fire department run. No special skills are required, just a willingness to help out!
